YouTube Street Fighter Turned Pro MMA Fighter Kimbo Slice Has Died At Age 42

FLORIDABellator MMA has announced that mixed martial artist Kimbo Slice died Monday at age 42. Bellator president Scott Coker said:

"We are all shocked and saddened by the devastating untimely loss of Kimbo Slice, a beloved member of the Bellator family."

Kimbo Slice (Kevin Ferguson) was a former backyard brawler who rose to fame with the popularity of his street fights on websites like YouTube before joining Bellator MMA.  Kimbo Slice fought as a heavyweight at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds.

According to ESPN Kimbo Slice had been hospitalized earlier Monday for undisclosed reasons in South Florida. There was no word on the cause of Slice's death.
