A Police Officer Saved This Abandoned Baby By Breastfeeding It (Video)

Police officer Luisa Fernanda Urrea breastfeeds abandoned newborn baby and saves her life

COLUMBIA - A Colombian police officer is being called a hero for saving the life of an abandoned newborn baby by breastfeeding her. Police officer Luisa Fernanda Urrea was dispatched to a remote forest.

Urrea found the baby in thick undergrowth with the umbilical cord still attached. Reports indicate the baby was starving and at increased risk of hypothermia. Officer Urrea wasted no time feeding her from her own breast while waiting for medical assistance.

Officer Urrea spoke to local media saying: “I’m a new mother and I have milk, and I recognised the needs that this poor little creature had. I think any woman would have given her nourishment in the same circumstances.”
