KENTUCKY - In an update to a story we told you about in January, the victim of a parking garage attack in downtown Louisville, KY has released a statement:
"After leaving work on January 26, 2016, I was violently attacked in my car. I fought off my attacker and thankfully was able to defend myself. I suffered significant physical injuries and I know that my attacker would have taken my life if given the chance. My attacker faces felony charges of attempted murder and kidnapping related to this incident. Due to the ongoing prosecution, and because I am still attempting to heal both physically and emotionally from this ordeal, I will refrain from discussing the details of the attack. I never want another woman to be the victim of a violent crime such as this, so I intend to speak about the details when the time is right. At this point, I need time to heal and for the prosecution to conclude this case. I appreciate your patience."
