In February of this year, Dr. Ben Carson spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast, and he was highly critical of both Obamacare as well as progressive/liberal philosophy — all while President Obama sat mere feet away. CNN’s Candy Crowley even asked later if Carson’s speech was offensive. The answer for some might have been “yes.”
From the Daily Caller:
“I had my first encounter with the IRS this year, unsurprisingly after the prayer breakfast,” Carson told an audience that at the annual Business Council of Alabama Chairman’s Dinner, according to a report from Cliff Sims of the Montgomery, Ala.-based Yellowhammer News.
Carson’s February speech February made him a conservative darling for criticizing President Barack Obama’s 2010 health-care reform law, while Obama was sitting just a few feet away.
Dr. Carson didn’t say exactly what the “encounter” was, but the IRS probably didn’t call just to say “hey, great speech!” Lois Lerner didn’t plead the Fifth because she was afraid to disclose niceties and a complete lack of bias in her department.
And now, a flashback video not related to the above story in any way whatsoever and posted only because it’s still kind of funny even four years later. It was just a joke though:**Written by Doug PowersTwitter @ThePowersThatBeblog comments powered by Disqus
