Was Donald Trump Right About Lying Ted Cruz?

OHIO - Republicans at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland were shocked when Ted Cruz went back on his word. In March Senator Ted Cruz promised to support Donald Trump for president if he became the Republican nominee.

During his 2016 Republican National Convention prime-time speech, Cruz told convention attendees to “vote their conscience”. The RNC crowd was upset and booed Cruz off the stage.

Bret Baier: Senator Cruz will you support Donald Trump if he is the nominee?

Ted Cruz: Yes, because I gave my word I would. And what I have endeavored to do every day in the senate is do what I said I would do.
