TURKEY - It's not everyday you see journalists, citizens and police battling with army soldiers for control of a major news network during a military coup. That is exactly what happened yesterday inside CNN's Istanbul studio during a failed military coup.

The Mirror reports 15 soldiers involved in the military coup used landed a helicopter and stormed the Dogan Media Center in Istanbul. Dramatic footage below shows the moment journalists, citizens and police started fighting back when soldiers tried to force the news network off-air.  During the fight CNN's anchor told viewers: "We don’t know how much longer we can broadcast."
