WATCH: Georgetown University Announces Plan To Give Descendants Of Slaves Priority Admissions (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University president John DeGioia has announced the school will give preference in admission to descendants of slaves. The university will actively identify and recruit descendants of slaves owned by the Maryland Jesuits in an effort to atone for profiting from slave trade. According to the school in 1838 two priests organized the sale of 272 slaves to pay of Georgetown University's debts.
